Hello! I love my Welsummer! My small flock of 7 hens free range all day. My rooster is a bit of a meanie, he is in his own pen. I only let him join the ladies when I want fertilized eggs. I do have a broody hen sitting on 10 eggs! I am wondering if they make good mothers? Anyone with experience of broody Welsummer hens Please feel free to give advice! She has been very loyal to her nesting for a week now. I am going to candle her eggs at day 10. Keeping my fingers crossed and excited!! Thank you, love this group! I tend to be reader more than a poster. Joy
