Hi I'm Kate - I raise chickens and have for about 50 years now. New breeders keep asking me about leakage and I would like a scientific definition of this term. I refer to gold or silver in the hackle as just that. What leaks are we referring to? genetic? Who invented this term? I can find this term referred to in poultry processing problems but no official definition. I can't use a term that is not clear to me.
