Leash training the pup

Yesterday I started leash training our pup. I want to take him out to the grass so he can do his business instead of on the patio. We had two successful dumps and he's warmed up to the leash a bit. So this morning my hubby went out and put fire ant killer in various places in the yard. So now I have to wait a couple of days before I can take him on his leash again. Ugh. Well I can't gripe to much because we did need to kill the fire ants.

Can you carry him somewhere away from the ant-killer?

well that would be the next door neighbors yard and I don't think he'd like that. lol I'm gonna ask hubby if there is a safe area since I didn't see where he put it.
