Leave your chickens home??

One day last week while I was about to go give the girls their breakfast, my local news ran something saying "leave your chickens home on Halloween." I glanced over to see some stills and short clips of chickens, some wearing little Halloween costumes. Did anyone else catch that? I never managed to see it again the rest of the morning, but I wanted to know why. Any ideas? (Also...ya ain't going to see a news clip like THAT in Chicago ROFL Loving SC LOLOL)

Some people do dress up their chickens for Halloween and other holidays. In the upcoming 2019 BYC calendar, there's a chicken dressed up for the October picture.
