Just acquired some lefse and wondering what everybody puts on it???
Butter, or butter and jelly.
My mom just stopped by for our potato ricer as she had broken hers. All the women in her family get together on the opening day of our state's gun-deer season (tomorrow) and spend the day making lefse for the holidays.
OK I have to ask, what are Lefse? It is easy to make?
I'm guessing this is region specific.....
It's like a tortilla made from mashed potatoes, shortening, and salt. It's a Norwegian recipe. Lots of Norwegians in my neck of the woods.

Well, i've been putting butter, sugar and cinnamon on mine and they are good that way. I tried one with bacon grease on it and it was just fair. Wonder about peanut butter?? Hummmmmm,, Sour cream?? Gravy??? lol!!! Food for thought?????????? lol
