Hey y'all. So a couple weeks ago I posted about a chicken I rescued from a women who was getting beat up by her other chickens. The chick is blind in its left eye. The woman said he/she was 3 weeks old but I dont know and she said it was an Isa Brown?

Perhaps a pecking injury on the eye, examine the eye carefully to see if it's infected (their pus is different than human pus, it's not liquidy like ours, it's cheesy.) Being blind shouldn't be a major issue, providing that other birds don't bully her away from the food and water; but even that can be eased by ensuring there are several feeding stations for the flock and if giving them treats, ensure that she gets some too. Three weeks is much too young to sex anything but a sex-linked variety, but you can keep your eye out for early waddle growth or pinking up of the comb to guess if it's a pullet or cockerel, that should become evident in about 2 or 3 more weeks. Proof is always in the pudding though, you won't know for SURE if it's a pullet or cockerel until it either starts laying, or starts crowing. I had to reread your post several times, and it gave me a hearty laugh when I finally got your first sentence sorted out in my mind :p Sounded like the women were being beaten up by her other chickens NOT that this hen was!

That appears to be pus, and gently gently; she might not be blind once you get all that gunk out of the eye. Link is to a coryza youtube video, but the technique is the same. Notice that he's wearing gloves, and you should too.
