I have a Silver Ameraucana pullet with off-color legs. My question: Is this what you would call "willow"? If not, what is the correct term?

Here you can see her greener legs in the back as compared to the other chicks' legs:

And while I'm asking about legs, is this leg color normal for young Wheatons or is it also off-color?

Thank you for all of your help!

You call it "craptastic". (Thank you debiraymond)

If you got it from me, I just discovered that the cock bird I purchased from a member of the ABC sent me a bird with recessive yellow skin.

I have to quit selling my eggs and now I have to test breed every silver or silver project bird on my property.

Wheatens hatch with light legs and they usually darken as the bird matures, sometimes they don't get very dark. Those are the birds you don't want to use for breeding.

Understood, although I assume that is not a technical term. [IMG] I figure she will be happy with my EE girls.

    Okay, very good.

I'm really disappointed this happened in my line. It really sets back the progress I was making on the silvers. [IMG]

Yep poo poo happens to the best of us.
