Leg Mites, What do you think of my plan?

So i was holding my OEGB today and it looks like he has some scaly mites so i am going to treat him for it, i did some research today and here is my plan.

Soaking his foot daily in warm water, then with a natural Tea-tree/peppermint/eucalyptus soap scrub his legs with a tooth brush, dry and put Vaseline on his legs. He is living in a raised pen with a wire floor, im going to dust his whole pen and clean everything in it.

Do you guys think this will work?

I like the idea of scrub his legs with a tooth brush and vaseline because that will kill the mites. car oil, red kote, wd-40 will also work too. You just have to scrub it so that all these liquid could get deep inside the scale to kill the mites.
