Hey guys, I have noticed that my 30 week old hen’s leg scales are kind of rising. I’m afraid this might be a disease. You can’t really see it in the picture, but here scales are rising. It may be serious or it might not be. If you know what this is, a little help would be nice. Thanks in advance!

I think I actually recall she had this as a chick. So, it might be a leg deformity?

Is there a treatment for that?

Is it just the one leg?

It might be scaly leg mites, there's nothing else I could think of. Fresh Eggs Daily has a good tip of soaking their feet in warm water, then scrubbing them with an old toothbrush dipped in white vinegar garlic juice mixture. When they're dry rub some olive oil mixed with cayenne pepper and a few drops tea tree for a few days. I've never had to use it, but anything natural works for me! Let me know how she's doing! :)

Yes it is just her one leg. The other one seems fine. Thanks for asking!
