My mom noticed her rooster limping so she asked me to check on him and I found this. Should I work on cleaning out that infection first? Can I put anything on it and should I start on antibiotics and if so, what kind?

Where is that located on the leg? Front/back?

If vet care is not an option, then I would clean it out with Chlorhexidine (Hibiclens), flushing it really well. Pack the wound with triple antibiotic ointment.
If he's not picking at it, then leave it uncovered. Check the wound at least once a day, clean/flush and apply your ointment.

Not sure the cause of the wound. It may be beneficial to administer an antibiotic. Do you have anything on hand?

It's on the front of his leg where his feathers start.

I have Hibiclens but no antibiotics. I can get some if I know which one is ideal. He has not been picking at it. I separated him from the rest of the flock too.
