Hatched nearly 3 weeks ago so I don't think it can be called just yet but was wondering which way it was looking. Haven't managed to get a photo of the comb just yet.

Can't really tell w/o pic of comb. Might be a cockerel, but still young to tell.

It's looking like a single comb. Not that big though. Tried to get a photo of the comb after I posted but still couldn't get close enough. It's young and a hybrid so who knows what characteristics it'll take on. I was actually hoping it'd get the legbar head crest and the EE's beard. A brabanter imitation. The dad started crowing around 4 weeks so I may find out soon. I could swear it was moving its head as if about to crow but could have been adjusting its crop or something.

Well, if the comb is still small, then who knows! It could go either way!
It would be really cute if a chick crowed!

Then it should be a sex link. I think that's female, a male would be barred. Did it have a white head spot when it hatched? If so, it's male. If not, female [IMG]

How does sex link work? It never had a white spot on its head but I didnt think it mattered since its a cross. It also has the little eyeliner mark. If I remember right then thats normally EE females?
