    when will my white and brown leghorns start laying

    at age 5 months or so, unless it is dead winter. they may wait till Spring. how old are your chicks?

    they are about a month old so i while to wait and we have really hard long cold winters her where i live but we will have rir laying by then (9 weeks old) and we will have a heat lamp in the coop in winter so they should stay laying HOPEFULLY!!!!!! thanx 4 ur hlp

    i was told they would start at 16-20 weeks of age. i have 6, 13 week old white leghorns. hopefully will start in a few weeks. i talked to someone that had some and they told me theres started laying at 16 and a half weeks old.
