Help,

My 1 year old pullet has just today developed a purple comb on the tips. It's been 100° + for a week and I have shade for her, a coolaroo shade cloth covering the run, I hose down the run three times a day and change their water three times a day. I also have a bin of water they can stand in that is changed three times a day. She is eating, drinking and laying daily still.

Is this from the heat? I've seen it in frostbite but not in summer. What can I do? Is this a concern?

Purple combs is a circulation issue ... Thinking the comb is so big that, circulation as an issue due to heat. Thinking it's not a big concern as it's eating/drinking/pooping and activity is normal.

Thank you so much, I've been sitting worrying right by her and she does seem fine. It was just such a scare to see!
