I've heard about what to do for weak new chicks, but what do I do for an older one? She just wants to sleep, won't drink sugar water. Help!

She's all fluffed up too. She is a lavender orpington, so maybe they are naturally that way. No bloody poop, but it is very watery and bright yellow, not eating or drinking. Trying to force electrolytes. Anyone have ideas? I really don't want to lose her.

At this age and those symptoms the first suspect is coccidiosis. Get some Corid and treat for coccidiosis asap. Since she's not drinking you'll need to give her the medicated water with an eye dropper or small needless syringe. Do this as often as you can every day until she starts drinking on her own again. If you get the liquid Corid just give her a couple drops straight, undiluted, to get her started.

If you get the liquid mix 1 teaspoon per gallon of water, powder is 3/4 teaspoon. You can also mix it stronger at 2 teaspoons liquid or 1.5 teaspoons of powder. Make it up fresh every day, continue for 5 to 7 days.

Thank you for your reply. I started the corid today because after a good day yesterday, she is back to being very lethargic and diarrhea. After half a day of corid, she hadn't improved. :(
