I hatched some chicks almost a week ago and there was a LC Orpington that seemed more lethargic at the beginning and wasn’t really opening its eyes as much but I didn’t think a whole lot about it. I put it in with the others and when I checked on them shortly thereafter his eyes were closed/bleeding and it looked like the others were pecking at his eyes. I have him (or her) separated now and seems to be doing okay (besides the eye injuries). Still a little bit lethargic with the eyes closed. Is there anything I can do about the eyes? I tried cleaning them yesterday with a warm wash cloth thinking it would loosen up some of the dried blood but it just made it worse and they started bleeding a little bit again. So I’ve basically just left him alone since then, aside from picking it up here and there to give it some attention. Any ideas/advice?
