I have a one yr old partridge cochin hen who is laying down a lot. Her comb is pale compared to my other Cochins. None of my 4 Cochins are laying right now. Most are molting. But this hen is not molting at the moment, has normal poop, and does not seem to be egg bound. What could be the problem. I've got her isolated right now until we know what is wrong. Giving her yogurt and water with apple cider vinegar in it for now.
    Any advice?
    Thanks in advance :)

Evaluate for internal and external parasites as a starting point - if you determine either are in play, treat accordingly.

    What symptoms would indicate parasites?
Her poop seems to look normal.
Her tail is tucked down, if that means anything at all.

Weak, pale comb...anemia? agreed that you should evaluate for parasites. If you find them on her, you need to treat everyone and the coop.
