I just received my order if rare assorted breeds from Meyer hatchery... I got 28 but one didn't make it after a few hours of being here and I'm keeping my eye on another.
Anyhow... I'm new to this so figuring out what all of these are is a hopeless task. Guesses?

The rest from what I can see are multiples of the same or with slightly different coloration. Thanks for the help!

    1. Brown Leghorn, Welsummer, Speckled Sussex...? Need to see legs... but really, only time will tell.
2: Easter Egger (I think I see poofy cheeks)
3: Brahma (probably Buff, maybe Light--can't see the colors well enough)
    4: Production Red
    5: Black Australorp
6: Wyandotte (can't see the comb well enough to be certain)
    7: See 1.
    8: Easter Egger

Thanks guys! I'll post updated pictures for you when they get a little bigger and we can see how close the ideas are. I know its hard to tell when they're so small.

Oh. There is one that I don't agree with after looking up pictures... And that's #5. He's less fluffy than those chicks. Very smooth and shiny down. I think he's a black Orpington. Not sure though.

I don't think they would include a Production Red in a rare assorted order.

It is a possibility, however, they are very expensive at Meyer and only males listed as available. Fluffyness of chick down isn't usually a good indicator of breed.

You might be correct--it could be a Buckeye since we can't see the comb. However, Meyer also sends free chicks, meal makers, etc. So OP, does the chick have a single comb or pea comb?
