Hello,
My large buff, Bertha, has gone broody on me and I was given a mix of egg types.
I have one chocolate turkey egg, two Muscovy duck eggs, two Americana eggs, and mix of green, brown and white bantam eggs. Totaling 12.
I have decided to hatch the duck eggs. I am interested in the turkey as well. I read that Muscovy eggs take 33-35 days and turkeys 28 days chicken eggs 19-21.
My girl Bertha is a large hen and could comfortable sit on all 12 eggs. I am thinking about adding the turkey egg to her current 2 duck eggs and 3 ceramic
. She has been in the duck eggs for 3 days.
What is everyone's thoughts or concerns ?
I want to add the turkey egg at day 6 then the chicken eggs around day 14?
Have any of you all hatched like this or raised a mixed clutch such as this one ?
