    WHAT IS THE AVERAGE LIFESPAN OF A QUAIL. AT WHAT AGE DO THEY STOP LAYING? THANKS , BUSH

    good grief 20 people have looked at this and not taken the time to answer you! Well the first thing we need to know is what type of quail? Then we can give you an answer. [​IMG]

    I personally have never had a Quail live more the 2 1/2 years of age and they were California Valley Quail as they have always managed to get out due to kids or what ever the reason was so I could not say I ever had any live long enough or stay around long enough to find out the answer to such a question so even I would like to know that answer .......

    3-5 years and 10 years of age being very rare.

    if you take good care of them and not letting them lay eggs year round.

    I have 7 year old quail in my aviaries! [​IMG]

    Yeah, they hobble around with arthritis like a bunch of old biddies, LOL, they don't lay much anymore, but they are still going!
