Lifted scales on only one leg of hen

The scales on my 1 year old aracuana cross hen have lifted--it looks like scaly leg mites but only one leg. Does anyone know what this is? None of my other hens are affected.

First two pictures are of the lifted scales, second two are of the normal foot.

I had a chicken start to look like this, with one foot/leg clearly worse than the other. My vet recommended treating for scaly leg mites.
