Hi, I have a sad request! I am sad to say my Light Brahma turned out to be a rooster. He is 4 mo old now and has started routinely crowing now and we've seen several other suspicious signs. I would like to re-home him before we really annoy our neighbors!
Although he is very nice, calm, and turning into a pretty bird, he is handicapped with a leg that is deformed. He has poor balance (so we built him a roost with a 2-3 inch platform) and more importantly, he is not quick on his feet, which makes him very vulnerable. Most farm life situations for re-homed roosters have them free ranging without being secure - even at night. This guy will be easy prey and ideally should be locked in a full enclosure unless supervised. He would love a home where someone would treat him like a pet, not like a fend-for-yourself chicken on a farm... if you know anyone who may be interested, please pass this along!
