I have had this light brahma that since I got her she has had this odd cough/wheeze sound. She does it regularly. I have had her for 5-6 months(mature when I got her). Yesterday I figured out what I think is causing it. When you open her mouth her tongue is not there. I believe that it falls back into her throat and the wheeze/cough is from trying to clear it. She does eat some and drinks, but understandably she does not do as well as the others. Has anyone ever head of this. Is there any possible fix for this? You can actually feel up her throat and bring the tongue up to her mouth, but it will fall back down. This also sends her into a bout of coughs so don't like to repeat it. Any help would be great.
