Light in the coop?

Is it ok to leave the light on in my coop all night? It is a small flourscent and is pretty dim.

I turn mine off. Did you know that fluorescent lights can be deadly to birds if broken.

Hello I use a cheap $4.00 solar light that I got from walmart. I stand it in a 10 cup coffee holder turned upside down. Works great. Just enough light so they can see in the coop if they need to get water, etc. I put out each morning to get the sun.
