Lil boy comes to our gate - wants to see "puppy from the newspaper"

A young neighbor boy came to our gate a little while ago. He told DH that he wanted to see "the puppy that was in the newspaper". DH knew he was referring to our younger GSD, Kane, so he turned around and pointed him out to the little boy . Now Kane was about a month and a half younger in his pic in the local paper.
Little boy looks and says No! The PUPPY from the paper. DH explained to him that it was Kane, but that Kane had grown a bit (understatement).
DH spent the next 15 minutes trying to convince the little boy that it was the same dog, but in the end the little boy walked away shaking his head.

Kane is turning into a monster dog. For five months old, he's huge!

I love the one of Jax and the log! lol, we almost bought a shepherd mix puppy the other day. But we arent home enough right now to play with it and we do NOT believe in crating a puppy all day.

Poor babies, lol. Come summer though we were considering getting a pup since we will be home more. But now we have had a few little surprises so not so sure whats going to happen.
