    I have 4 Silkes....Straight run, idk what gender.[​IMG]
    So, does any one know at what age roosters start to crow?
    I am loving my Silkes![​IMG]
    Their names are- (i will need to feminize or masculinize them if they don't match their name [​IMG])
    1.Thomas
    2.Charlotte
    3.Pippa
    4.Merle (Blackbird in French)

    Depends on the individual. Some start at just five weeks, others don't crow until seven or eight months. Some cockerels/roosters won't crow in the presence of another dominant male.

    I would estimate 4-6 months for most, at least in my experience. How old are your silkies?

    From as early as 5 weeks to some never do crow. No set age really, sorry.

    My Silkies are, I believe, are 5-6 months old....Not 100% sure! [​IMG]

    You could post some pictures, and we'll see if we can help. My experience with sexing Silkies is limited, but other people will probably help too.

    5-6 months in plenty old enough to get accurate guesses. Post pics please.
