i think from reading others posts after a search that they are from pecking. not all of them have it, the rooster and his fav hen. should i isolate them at night? or at least put the rooster alone? is it possible that they are abusing him during the night? or is this likely a day thing?

I know you are concerned, but these things happen. Leave them alone to work it out and it will likely go away on it's own. As long as there is not a LOT of blood or the spots have pustules under them, I would wait a bit and see what happens.

    Good Luck!
