little chick temperature question

my 1 week old chicks (which are being raised by another chicken), which are supposed to be at 95 degrees were running around and having fun in 55 degrees.

Sounds completely normal for broody raised chicks! They can take much lower temperatures than 95 because the hen is able to warm them back up again when they get chilled. In the brooder, there should be a hot spot where they can get warmed up, and cooler spots as well, so that they have the option to go back and forth just as they do with Mama Hen.
