Hi all,
Hoping you can help I have a 4 week old with little hard lumps with a yellow top.
What are they help I'm very worried. She has the yellow one in the photos, her cheek has a big lump, one on her head, and a smaller one on her neck????

She seem happy eating and drinking and pooping fine. Free ranging and hanging with friends?

Maybe take her to a vet in case it's something bad.

I keep doing this on lots of threads but I'm not an expert so @aart @KikisGirls @sumi could u help?
No need to tag a bunch of members when a post has only been up for a few hours,
give the system time to work. ;)

The pic show the earlobe flesh with what looks like infection.
Could be fowl pox too...any inside it's mouth?
Were there cuts/wounds in these areas?
Pics of the other 'lumps' would help.

Thank you, the Other is just below this yellow one, which after research I think is a Abscess. the one under the yellow spot is hard like a calluses or something. sorry it's hard to see has she fluff is in the way.

That yellow one need to come out or it will never get better, I think.
Does anyone have tips on how to remove an abscess?

Thanks, So much.

If it's hard like a callus, I doubt it's an abscess.
Unless you can feel something (swelling, lump, etc) under the skin,
and whether it's hard and solid or squishy like liquid or pus.

Better pics are really needed to do an online diagnosis/treatment, and even then.....

Dry fowl pox cannot be treated, it's a virus and eventually goes away without much ramification.
Wet pox can be fatal will also show up inside the mouth, you should take a look in there.

Thank you, yes the yellow one is a abscess, the one under is hard like a callus. Nothing in her mouth or on any other chickens in the flock.

Have you tried taking a pair of tweezers and removing it?

It looks like an infected ear. You can also put a couple of drops of peroxide on the "abscess" to help soften it, then see if it will come out. Chicken pus is a semi-hard cheese like substance.

The ones on the face, head and neck - would need to see photos for those.

That lump appears to be on the ear lobe.
The ear itself is behind the ear flap.
You might gently open the ear flap from the rear and take a look inside tho.

Agrees cleaning a wound with HP is a good first step to kill bacteria,
and clear away infected tissue,
should only be used once tho as it can also damage newly growing healthy tissue.
