I've seen several conversations on here where someone will mention giving their ducks small fish to snack on. I think my two little ducks would be thrilled to try them. When can they start having these? Are they just little pet store fish? Are there any they shouldn't have? When I had Chinese Water Dragons, they could have them and we'd get tiny little tetras or gold fish from Petsmart but obviously ducks aren't water dragons. So, what's the deal with giving them some little fish to hunt down?

I haven't done it, myself, and some have health concerns (I think based on the source of the fish), but certainly I would want the ducklings to have had a bit of chick grit before giving them the tiny fish.

I think DenverDucky gave her duckling little feeder fish, and I am sure many have done so.

I didn't really give them fish. They got into my garden pond and ate every goldfish in it. The ducks were fine and wanted to go back for more but I fenced it off so they can't eat my fish anymore.
