should be a water well formed into the bottom under the mesh will be reffered to as channels if it has them if it does not then you can use soaked sponges. If you use the sponges re soak at day 5,10,15 and to sanitize them nuke them in your microwave (wet only because they catch fire dry) for one minute.

The water goes in those channels in the bottom of the bator. You can add some aquarium tubing through the side (you will have to poke a hole with a screwdriver) with a syringe to add water during the hatch of during incubation. I also add sponges during the hatch itself.
