Please tell me people, which one is better? Give me your opinions.

I have both. They both have worked well for me. My HB is an old one with a wafer. My LG is newer with no wafer. I hate the wafers and prefer the solid state one. I do know that for the best results with my LG I have to set it up for about 4 days before using to stabilize the temps.

Very smart. I think I will do the same and use a little more electricity to stabilize the temps before putting the eggs in. Good idea!

Now your going to get lots of opinions!!! I have a Hova circulated air model # 1583 and its the wafer type I prefer that incase of a break down easier to fix! I also have the turner with it.

I have two old Lyons transparent hens that are still air and I have good hatches.

I have both. I have the turbo fan hova-bator & the still air LG. Although I MUCH prefer my Hova-bator to the LG. The LG is not as stable with the temps. It is best for reptile eggs, IMO

A wafer is a round thing that is an older type of thermostat.

O ok thank you. Why do most incubators come in styrofoam? Doesnt that crack easily?
