little man silver laced Wyandotte?

    [​IMG]We are beginning to question weather our 3 week old pullet will ever be laying us eggs. We only have one SLW in our mixed chicks so we can't compair her to her own kind but she is the only chick with color on her comb and sprouting a waddle....or gobble gobble as the kids call it. Opinions please

    I wanted to deny it because hes a nice bird :(. I have another sexed as female chick that chest bumps this guy so I suppose I need to keep an eye on her as well. I have one golden sex link and one buff Orpington and can't tell which is which at this stage...But one has super thick legs and is definitely boss. I keep hoping it's the sex link so I dont have to worry about another boy

    Too early to be sure. Some Wyandotte pullets look a bit masculine at that age. The differences between the sexes become much more apparent at 6-8 weeks.

    Just to give hope to anybody that was in the same boat as I was, unsure on gender based on dark comb, this bird turned out to be a pullet.
