I am thinking about getting some hens, about 3, to put with my Buff Brahma rooster and hen. I love red hens, I think they are gorgeous. What breeds come in red, that would be good companions to some Brahmas? I want them to be about the same size as my birds I have now, but I don't want little eggs, and I may decide to hatch some eggs so I would want something that has a pretty good chance of looking good as a BrahmaXred hen mix. And I live in Utah, so something that does well in that climate. I looked on the breeds page, but I want to see what the red hens look like, and only see NH Reds and RI Reds.

How 'bout Comets, they come in red with a little white. I have one and she was the first to lay of all my hens (BO, RIR, BR)

Blue Laced Red Wyandotte. Not pure red, but pretty! On my BYC page you can see a few pictures of my Splash BLRW.
