Little solid red thing in quail chicks brooder

Hi! I hatched 4 quail chicks 4 days ago. The 2nd day I found a solid red thing in their brooder but didnt really worry much. Today i found a similar red thing. Its really small, size a third of the chick's beak. Its solid and not easily breakable. Wondering if its an egg tooth. Thanks!

Could be something that was introduced (contaminate) durning the milling process of the feed? It's not an 'egg tooth'.

Looks like debris out of the feed that one of them probably picked up, ran around with, and dropped because it didn't taste like food or was too big to munch. Maybe a seed hull or bit of red plastic?
