Just got off the phone with city hall. I was curious what the local law is. I'm in a rather rural area but wanted to see what they had to say about roos' as i have at least one. Well! The clerk told me its 1.5 acres for the first chicken and each additional chickens require an extra 1/2 acre. Are they serious?
I'm just under an acre and have 7 chickens.

I came directly to this page and am I relieved. I honestly thought none of this pertained to me and was for more residential areas.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this site, always. Now to decide to tell dh we're lawbreakers or not...
