Hello there I have two bantam cockerels that I need to find a new home for. They are 18 weeks old and hatched the weekend of May 8th. I hatched them myself, these guys are not for eating. They can be housed together, as the dominant rooster (Cochin) does not peck he just flashes his feathers. The Wyandotte is a big sissy and squeals like a girl and runs away. I've been calling them "Roo boy" and "Curt" respectively, but you could call them whatever you want if you are taking them. The Wyandotte is a Silver laced Wyandotte and has absolutely stunning feathers. The Cochin is Red and black with fluffy feathers. As a chick he looked like a pinecone. If you breed him to a smooth feathered hen you will get 50% frizzles and 50% smooth feathered chicks. All of my chickens have been raised on organic feed from Mcgeary Organics, with snacks of kale, canteloupe, other chopped veggies from my organic garden, black oil sunflower seeds, as well as sweet clover and grass as they are free ranged as well. They are very healthy birds. No respiratory problems or anything. As chicks, they were never medicated. I have never lost a chicken to illness. Please have experience with chickens. Would like to stay in contact, and possibly in the future breed the Wyandotte roo with my female. I would hatch them and you would get the majority of the offspring after I pick one or two pullets from the group -the rest would be yours to either keep or sell- if this is something you are interested in. local pickup only.
