We are building a pen for our ducks, on the outside but attached to the pen will have the their house. My questions is every night/evening when do we put them in their house? Like at what time? And do we shut the door? Or is this something we don't have to do cause their whole area is inclosed? We are duck first timers and just want to do it right.

If you want to keep them alive and not predator food, they will need to be locked into their coop nightly. A wooden coop is much more secure than any wire or fenced run. They will go into the coop at night and it should be closed at or just after dusk.

yes, the run is being made fully inclosed and the house will be solid wood, no wire or anything.
