Lone Rooster?

I am looking into getting another rooster and setting up a pen just for him. He will be in a pen on his own only a few feet from my other chickens though. He will also be handled daily and I will spend lots of time with him. My other chickens are used for meet and eggs. I would simply keep this rooster as a pet.
Can I keep him alone or should I get another rooster to keep with him?

Need more info about your flock and your goals as a chicken keeper to even contemplate an answer.

My other fowl are all dual purpose birds. We use them for eggs and meat. This rooster will be a pet only but I am consider breeding him in the future.
