I recently separated my call ducks into pairs for mating and everyone seems happy with the arrangement except for my one gray male. He ignores the female he is in with and tries to go into the other pen next to him instead. I am not sure what should be done since all the others have paired up nicely and even the hen in with him tries to get his attentions. Any advice would be appreciated.
Block he view of the other pen. Next year split them up sooner so they have 30 days to settle in before they should be breeding.
That's a good question! I know we are having the same problem. I think blocking their view is a good idea. We'll try that!
