I'm fairly new to chickens, been having my flock for about a year. I have what I think is a Dorking silver-grey rooster, 2 Plymouth rocks, and 4 golden buffs (one is sitting on a clutch). I love this site, found it with google. I'm planing on doing a thread about Low budget solutions for chickens.

Great thread idea!
I can't say we've done much to cut back on costs though, besides perhaps using junk in the garden to use in the coop.
