Just wondering how long is the longest I should expect to have to wait for my crazy aus hen to lay??

I have 4 total hens, all the same age. Two started laying the end of September, one the beginning of November but still not so much as a squat or visit to the nexting box from the last one.

I'm estimating them to be about 32 weeks? Assuming the first two started right around 20 weeks. (I got them in Sept from a gal who said they were in their "first year" of laying, so not totally sure on the age)

Just wondering what the longest wait might have ever been around here? Thanks!

    And Happy Holidays to everyone!

To be honest with you I'm a bit worried about that... but there are no spurs and as far as I can see no obvious spur bumps, no fabulous long flowing rear feathers I see on so many pics of roos.

Maybe if I post a few pics someone can put my mind at ease?? I can't have a roo in this city, I already had a neighbor reported for it who had to get rid of her birds.

I have a BR (laying) two EE (laying) and the moocher "Wilma" is an australourpe. Who is skittish, loud and bossy. So a brat and not even producing to make it worth anyone's while, lol.

Back in Nov I gave one of the EEs and Wilma "the talk" and I guess the EE listened because a few days later *poof* a nice green egg. But Wilma? Nnnooooooo..... [IMG]
