I have to candle it tonight and see if its a double yolker! I may incubate it and see what happens!
I use to get those from my redstars!
I don't have any redstars anymore. I"m not sure who laid this, but I bet if I went out and checks everyones' behinds, I'd figure it out quick! Ouch!
Holy Moly, that must've hurt! Bet it's a double yolker. Wow!
thats one big egg
I can't wait til its dark so I can see whats inside...1 or 2 (or 3?) yolks...
Quote:what does it being dark have to do with seeing inside?
holy quacomoly thats huge.
ive never seen such a big chicken egg.
WOW congrats man.
I have had two different BO's lay a similar sized egg on a couple of different occasions each. Both times the eggs were bigger than my Pekin ducks lay.
I don't remember how many yokes the first one had as it was a year or more ago but this most recent egg was a double-yoker. I figured I might even find three but that was not the case.
The first BO developed a severe prolapse and died from it. I'm hoping this one doesn't.
Wow that's big.
I sometimes get big ones too (I've got Rhode Island Reds and Shaver Reds). My largest egg was (in circumference) 7-1/2 inches around the long way by 6-1/4 inches the other.
