    I was given a few chickens the other day and this mama and chicks came with them. She is super protective but she is finally getting used to me.

    She is bigger then my other OEGs but I just love her colors. I hope the chicks get some of the same markings.

    I never get tired of seeing momma's giving their chicks a ride. Great pictures!

    Maybe she's a Pheonix hen? I remember there was a pic of the week with a bird like that and its chick. Hurray for mama chicken! [​IMG]
