All though not a pet, its certainly worth an honerable mention and I just had to share my good fortune.
enjoy:

Its an Eastern Box Turtle,
high up on the endangered and highly protected list.

After a quick health check, eyes ears nose butt and toes. he was measured and released back to the wilds of our stream.
pictures have been sent to our F&G dept for documentation.
I love coming acrossed the rare and endangered and be able to help F&G document.
what a rush!

Its so nice to be able to post pictures that are not of a preditor or a snake,( mind I love snakes)
rare sight to behold, when I went to the F&G office they had no way to up load the pictures,( can you imagine no card reader!!! the injustice lol)
So I came home and uploaded them to my computer and emailed them to the Main Office in Concord.
I am awaiting an email back, I am sure they will have me keeping an eye for this handsom guy just like when I found the big brown water snake.
Documented her for 2 years before she finally moved along, course I bet the invasion of coons had a lot to do with that.
