Look what I got for my baby chicks!

They are currently in my master bath but that means I'm having to reach down at them (scaring the crap out of them) to interact. I wanted to get the outside for some fresh air and make it easier for us to hang out and watch them do their thing.

Got this at Goodwill in Scottsdale. There's another one exactly like it if anyone is interested. What do you think? (I do realize it's temporary!!)

I use an old super-large rabbit cage as my brooder. It's about 4 feet long, and maybe 2 feet deep and 18" tall? I just put the heat lamp on one end, and let them move about as they wish. I don't even bother covering it at night - they can get under the heat lamp for warmth if they want.

Very nice. A lot better viewing than with the cardboard boxes I use.
