She was the only surviving goat in a herd of eight who were attacked by a bear. Her baby was killed in the attack. She is a 3 year old Nigerian dwarf doe. The owner posted on Craigslist looking for someone to adopt her. 35 people offered and she chose us. We already have two Nigis so she'll have a built-in herd family with us. I picked her up this morning, gave her a warm bath and blowdry and dressed her wounds. You can see the spot where the fur is messed up. That is where the bears paws went in. She is such a sweet thing but still a bit skittish. She's been locked in a garage for a few days until a safe home could be found. I offered to return her when the after the Federal Game wardens find and re-locate the bear. the owner doesn't want anymore animals until she can buy and raise a livestock guardian dog so my guess is she'll have a permanent home with us.

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Also, LOVE the tire swing! My goats would be on that 24/7! They have big rock piles and log bridges, but no swing [IMG]
