Almost all county fairs have an "open class" or differently-named competition, open to all residents, all ages. Many will even create new categories for entries if they don't already have one, but most have eggs as category, brown, white easter eggers, etc. Check with your local Extension office or Fair office. It was great fun, of course hubby showed us up - he entered his peppers, won not only a blue ribbon but also Judges Choice! The gauntlet has been thrown - wait until next year!
