look who's been visiting our back yard!

    i found some pics online that look just like him and apparently he is a "california quail."

    he is getting braver and braver and comes closer to me each day. his feathers are BEAUTIFUL!

    Beautiful! We are looking into getting quail eggs to hatch once the chickens and turkeys clear the bators. We have permits to raise and release only the Bobwhite here in NY. They are native.

    Hes pretty but like with sparrows you should keep him away from your birds incase he carries AI.

    *Had a little "quail parade" cross the road in front of us last time I visited Cali -- Momma quail leading 14 babies. They are cute!!:aww

    I saw a mother duck leading lots of baby ducks across the road on my way to church one day. There was a car coming and the person didn't even slow down :eek: [​IMG] some people are so... [​IMG].
