Wondering if anybody has a suggestion for a good auto coop door opener. I'm kinda leaning toward the Omelet. I've seen a couple different review lists like 5 Best or 10 Best, but they seem to be a little biased.

Hi there! I’m a newbie with an Omlet — and love it. It is easy to install, quiet, opens horizontally, and has three automatic options (solar, self-programmed, and manual). The options are incredibly important to me. Right now, I’m using manual so I can train my flock (they have been in the coop for a week getting used to their new home). Later, I’ll switch over to a self-program. This will allow me to decide the best times for opening and closing, keeping predators in mind. One day I might do solar (which relates to dusk and dawn where you live). This is all to say that its flexibility was a huge appeal to me. Good luck with your decision making!

This sums is my thoughts nicely. Have had an Omlet door for two weeks. Easy install, easy solar setup. Three chickens love getting outside with the sun at 515am instead of 6am when I drag myself outside. They are also going to bed after me now and we haven't had any issues that I'm aware of. My only wish is that it could be solar powered rather than using 4 AA batteries. Minimal though honestly as it shows a battery life clearly for replacement.

Thanks. I called Omelet yesterday with a few questions. They told me they were out of stock until like the second or 3rd week of July. A bummer, but nota deal breaker for me, because I'm building a new coop and it might work out since it's taking a little time to get it done. The wait for a door won't seem as long.
