1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
3 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup brown sugar
1-2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup chopped nuts (I left them out) (optional)
1Preheat oven to 350.
2Combine oil, eggs and milk in a medium bowl. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl.
3Mix wet ingredients into the flour mixture until combined.
4Spread batter into a sprayed 9 x 13 baking pan. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over batter.
5Bake for 35 minutes. Let cool about 15 minutes before eating.
Picky eaters? Never could understand why people have kids that are picky eaters. Mine always knew that if they didn't eat what was on the table they would be waiting for the next meal and that meal also stood a real good chance of being the same thing they earlier turned their noses at. The secret is that kids should always been given the choice of eating or not eating.
